We can not recommend Carton House and its wonderful team highly enough. We are a couple based overseas and selected the venue without even viewing it. The team were always available, happy to accommodate calls when suited us and were wonderful in helping us plan and provide advice. Everything on the day ran like a dream. There were no issues and everything was organised just how we had discussed with the coordinator. Most professional, efficient, warm, friendly and accommodating venue I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

Myself and my husband got married on August the 3rd at Carton House Hotel in Maynooth. I really can't say enough good things about the venue and the wedding planner Fionnuala. She's simply so helpful and always responded to my emails promptly. At time, I would really be asking ridiculously small things that only a bride would care about, but nothing was too big or small for her. On the day itself, we were really lucky because the sun shone and the venue looked absolutely spectacular. During the day, staff kept coming up to ensure we were ok, and offering prosecco. I could barely eat on the day because I was so excited/nervous but all the guests told me the food was absolutely delicious. We choose to upgrade and stay in one of the gorgeous suites on the night of our wedding and it was out of this world. We truly had the best day of our lives. It was really important for me that guests also had a great day and I got fantastic feedback and everyone's response was 'what a great venue'. I couldn't recommend it enough.

We loved every minute of our wedding which all took place in the old part of Carton House. The only slight hiccup for the whole day (laundry company didn't deliver chair covers in time) was sorted within minutes of my arrival and the show went on! The food during the drinks reception was never ending, the wine flowed during dinner, and everything about the setting was just perfect. I wouldn't change anything about the whole day. Thanks so much to Fionnuala and her team for everything they did.

Friends and family have commented that this was the best wedding they have ever been to and the team at Carton House made it all possible. I did not bring a wedding planner from the outside and just had Fionnuala Monks help me through the process. I would not have changed a thing. Even though I planned the wedding from aboard I still felt it was easy to communicate my needs and they followed through. The only hang up was some microphone and music issues when the wedding party entered the reception but that is pretty minor in a 3 day event.

Carton House was a wonderful venue for our wedding- Fionnuala the wedding coordinator was excellent, as were the rest of the staff. There were a few VERY small issues on the day, none that our guests would have ever noticed, but Fionnuala was very apologetic and offered a refund for this. Our guests loved the food, atmosphere and service on the day.

Can not recommend Fionnuala, Peter and the staff in Carton House highly enough. Our experience throughout the planning of the wedding was amazing. We wanted a relaxed day and that is what we got. The staff could not do enough for us both in the lead up and on the actual day. We have a little boy and it was very important that he was recognised as part of the wedding and Carton House was one of the only hotels that we visited that made him feel welcome. The grounds and the hotel itself are spectacular, the food was amazing and all our guests continue to tell us about what a great time they had and how wonderful Carton House is. If I was doing it all again, I'd definitely go back to Carton House.

We had a wonderful wedding day at Carton House - our guests loved it and our families were so pleased that everything went so smoothly. We had our drinks reception followed by dinner for 120 in the old part of the house - ornate ceilings, portraits of former owners and gilded mirrors on the walls and once evening darkness came, with candles on the tables it was a truly romantic atmosphere. The event staff were fantastic and friendly - they were so accommodating in every way. The food really was excellent. The only small hitch was that a good deal of the extra prosecco we brought was not served during our drinks reception. Our guests helped themselves at the bar so it wasn't a huge deal at the time, just not what we'd had in mind.

All in all I would thoroughly recommend Carton House and it's old house rooms to other couples.
