Meet Sinead and Paul. They got married at the beautiful Springfort Hall in Co Cork! Since they tied the knot in May, they opted for a sage green colour scheme. It goes beautifully with the navy suits they had in mind and the earthy tones which complemented their venue.

Sinead and Paul got engaged while on holiday in beautiful Portugal! This is the story from Sinead’s perspective:

“We were ready to go out for dinner, Paul was being very quiet and was hesitant to leave. I thought he was coming down ill so I didn’t hurry him. I played some music and told him to let me know when he was ready to leave, I sat on the side of the bed looking out of the patio. Paul approached me and knelt down in front of me, I was very shocked, surprised and of course I said yes.”

Since they tied the knot in May, they opted for a sage green colour scheme. It goes beautifully with the navy suits they had in mind and the earthy tones which complemented their venue.

Sinead wore a ball gown with beautiful sequins on the back, with a sequin belt design. She says she felt like a princess whilst wearing it.

Paul wore a beautiful navy suit with an ivory designed waist coat and tie.

The bridesmaids wore sage green dresses. They each chose their own design so they would be comfortable. The flower wore a beautiful ivory dress with roses patterned in it with a sage green belt.

All the gents (groomsmen plus fathers and pageboy) wore navy suits along with sage green ties and pocket handkerchiefs.

“Our ceremony took place in Springfort Hall, it was beautifully decorated and arranged. We asked to go unplugged and only the photographer to take photos as we are quite a shy couple. I’m very lucky my father walked me up, Paul was so handsome and I felt so lucky to have this man to be my husband. Our celebrant was fantastic, Carrol puts a beautiful personal piece into the ceremony about the couple. It’s a lovely touch, our guests applauded Carrol saying she is fantastic. I felt our ceremony was very intimate with the closest people in our lives around us exactly how we wanted it.”

“Our venue is a secret, secluded manor house out of the way of the hustle and bustle of life, time off from reality I suppose. The bedrooms are very clean, bright and a decent size. The features around the main house are beautiful, rustic with a piece of history, along with beautiful gardens. The food served here is served at a very high standard if I could give more than 5 stars I would. The staff are wonderful, so friendly, nothing is to much to ask you are always met with a smile. The function room is so beautiful with everything you would need in one room.”

Their wedding was beautifully captured by Sean Jefferies Photography!

“Sean is a happy, friendly calm gentleman. We are a shy couple and he understood and made us feel both at ease when we met him to go through everything. On the day Sean ensured my comfort, I felt so at ease and he captured our personalities perfectly with out us feeling like a camera was on us for the day.”

To entertain their guests, they had Arundo Traditional Irish Music for the drinks reception and The Pearls as their band, followed by the DJ.

Sinead says, “I wanted to give something for charity so I went with trolley coins as favours from 3 different charities.”

Sinead shares her favourite memory from the day:

“Wow what a question, I got to have my dream wedding so the whole day is my favourite. If I had to choose, seeing my fiance Paul waiting for me at the top of the aisle. I didn’t know if I could keep it together I was overwhelmed with happiness.”

We always ask newlyweds for their best wedding advice. Here’s what Sinead said:

“Try not to stress, start planning early. I found this helped the closer I got. Make lists of things to be done and tick it off. If you are on a budget it does tend to go over so be prepared.
Try to keep in mind it’s about the two of you, you two alone. Enjoy, it’s an amazing day. Trust in your suppliers they will get it all fit together.”
