Peter and Lisa’s love story began when they met randomly on social media. They met up a few times and were inseparable after that!

Here is their proposal story from Peter’s perspective:

“I bought Lisa a city break to Prague as a Christmas present. It was Lisa’s 30th birthday during the break, we spent a few days touring around seeing all the sights and had a great few days away. I had the ring with me and proposed to her on Charles Bridge in Prague on her 30th birthday. That was our last night there, we flew back home the next day and I had already set up a surprise 30th for her when we got back, landed into the pub to all our family and friends.”

They decided to keep things as plain and simple as they could, both at the chapel and the hotel. Since they both love cars, they wove them into their theme! In fact, Peter told Lisa she wasn’t to know what cars would be used for the wedding. He set up 8 wedding cars with the boys – a beautiful convoy of modified cars at the hotel.

They added their own personal touches to the day too! Lisa made a crisp wall to have beside the sweet cart. She decorated it all herself. Their centrepieces were a little different too – a few months before the wedding, Peter started to draw up and design a few different centrepieces using only old car parts and things from the garage. After lots of late nights and endless hours, he had them welded together, rubbed down, primed and painted with a matt copper bronze colour getting a real rustic look!

Lisa wore an ivory satin dress with beading detail on the back, with buttons going down the whole train and beaded detail on the belt.  A simple ivory veil with speckles of sparkle.

Peter wore a tuxedo with dickie-bow, gloss black shoes, with a watch and cuff links given to him by the best man.

The bridesmaids wore slate grey dresses with pearls,  the groomsmen and the father of the bride and father of the groom  all wore the tuxedos.

“The ceremony was nice and simple, decorated in bunches of flowers and a small amount of candles. Jenny O Brien Music did the wedding music on the keyboard and sung just what we wanted. We were both very nervous but enjoyed every minute of it.”

“Crover House is a beautiful place to be. The sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Outside the hotel’s reception doors, all you see is the fantastic views looking over Lough Sheelin. There are walks around the whole grounds and at night time there are lit up walkways with lanterns.”

The wedding was beautifully captured by Laura Mc Photography!

“Laura the photographer is great fun to work with. She is good friends with a friends of ours and that’s how we met her. When we were organising our wedding we went straight to Laura to get her for our big day. She did her job amazingly well and captured all the best photos in the best places, she is so easy to talk to and doesn’t just want everyone standing in a straight row smiling. She captures the photos when you least expect and captures the moments of people having fun, chatting, laughing.”

Our favourite memory (or memories) lol: Obviously finally getting our wedding rings on and walking out the church with massive smiles on our faces,   all the cars, and our first dance, which was a dance with a difference.”

We love asking newlyweds for their best wedding advice:

“Don’t overthink anything, don’t get so many different people to do so many jobs, keep it plain simple and do things your way.”
